What is Tai Chi?
Today, Tai Chi is commonly practiced for health and wellness. However, historically, Tai Chi is a martial art that begins in Chen Village, China, about 400 years ago.
Tai Chi is excellent for improving or maintaining health and wellness. Despite it’s martial origins, Tai Chi scales well for a wide variety physical capacities. Understanding the martial foundations helps draw out the most benefits from practice.
Tai Chi is still a robust and efficient method of self-defense and a way to rebuild, maintain, or improve our health. It is an excellent balance of martial arts and health practice.

Emerald Valley Tai Chi is lead by Jared Blakesmith and his wife, Hanna Romaniuk. Jared has over 25 years of martial arts experience with Chen Style Taijiquan being the primary focus.
